Help us meet our $30,000 goal by December 31st!

As Geshe Kelsang says in his new book, Modern Buddhism:

Kadam Dharma is like a mala made of gold. Just as everyone, even those who do not use a mala (or prayer beads), would be happy to accept a gift of a gold mala because it is made of gold, in a similar way, even non Buddhists, can receive benefit from Kadam Dharma. This is because there is no difference between Kadam Dharma and people's everyday experiences.

About Chakrasambara Kadampa Meditation Center

At Chakrasambara, our mission is to share the golden mala of Kadam Dharma with as many people as possible in the New York area. This is our community service; giving people the means for developing inner peace. Throughout 2010, every week hundreds of people receive teachings, meditate, and discuss together at our Center and branches. Every person who attends our classes proceeds to interact with many others and in this way the Center’s activities ripple out in all directions effecting thousands of people. We are all contributing directly to the peace and happiness of individuals and communities, both now and in the future. Our Center continues to grow not just in terms of class attendance, but also in the depth and maturity of the practitioners, providing New York City with a vibrant Buddhist community

Your Gift Makes an Impact
We are a non-profit organization and we rely on your help to maintain our operating budget. Also, as you may know, we have been looking to purchase a space of our own. Unfortunately there are few appropriate commercial spaces available in New York City. We continue to seek alternatives and if we are unable to purchase a space soon, we will lease a new space that will provide us with:

• A larger meditation room to accommodate the growing class attendance, as well as a smaller meditation room which will allow us to hold kids classes, teens classes, regular retreats, and pujas that can run concurrently with teachings.

• A separate lounge with a café, allowing the Center to be a peaceful and virtuous sanctuary in the heart of the city. This lounge would include a bookstore and office space for administration.

If you feel the Center has contributed to your life, and you believe in what we are doing, please consider making a donation during this holiday season.

All donations are tax-deductible 501(c)(3).
Thank you in advance for your consideration and generosity.
